Former Everton striker Marcus Bent believes that Cristiano Ronaldo would only leave Juventus to return to Manchester United.

The Portuguese footballing icon departed for Real Madrid back in 2009 and has often been linked with a stunning return to Old Trafford.

Ronaldo still has 12 months left of the four-year deal he signed back in 2018, but the 36-year-old has reportedly told The Old Lady that he’s planning on leaving them this summer.

He’ll be looking to add another European Championship crown to his trophy cabinet with his native Portugal in the coming weeks, but Ronaldo hasn’t been able to fire Juventus to their first Champions League for more than two decades in his three seasons in Serie A.

Do you think this will help Man U get Kane?

Ronaldo did add more silverware, though, winning five domestic trophies in Italy, and has scored 101 goals across his three years with the Turin giants.

But could he come back to Manchester United this window to try and help the Red Devils end their own wait for success?

He exclusively told This is Futbol:

“If there’s any side he’d go to it would be Man United. He’s still got his legs, his six-pack or eight-pack or whatever you want to call it.

“He hasn’t done much over the last few seasons, but he’s still a big name. Sometimes clubs bring players back because of the name, finances, shirt sales.”
