Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest claim concerning West Bromwich Albion attacker Matheus Pereira.

This comes after Leeds-focused Twitter account @LS11LUFC shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in an article from TeamTalk.

Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

The article claims that West Brom will allow Pereira, who has been linked with a move to Elland Road in recent weeks, to leave the club this summer for a fee of at least £15 million.

This post then caught the attention of a lot of Leeds fans who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest news.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to this latest update about Pereira?

“Shocked if this happens”

@kevinsnaith84

“That would be a very decent signing.”

@dazgrimmer

“This is the main target we should be after. Class player. Would add loads.”

@jwh1982

Oh my if this happens #lufc #mot

@APA_89

If true that would be some buy at that price #Lufc

@Neilfax

“Snap him up.”

@prysds

Looking at the replies to this post, it appears that these Leeds fans would be over the moon to see their club sign Pereira for the reported fee of £15 million this summer.

Would you like to see Leeds sign Pereira this summer?

No

In our view, with Pereira managing to score 11 goals and providing six assists for the Baggies in the Premier League this season, this shows that he has what it takes to be a useful attacking threat in the league and why it might be a good idea for Leeds to sign him.

Also, with current Leeds attacker Raphinha being recently linked with a move away from the club this summer, perhaps signing Pereira could be a good way of potentially replacing Raphinha if he were to leave during the upcoming transfer window.
