Serie A expert Conor Clancy has labelled Leeds United target as a “machine” amid links with club.

Reports in Italy have suggested that Marcelo Bielsa’s side are interested in a to bring the Cagliari midfielder to Elland Road, and as per a report from Tuttomercatoweb in 2019, it is now two years since Victor started pursuing Nandez when he was a Boca Juniors player.

Nandez moved to Europe from Boca Juniors ahead of the 2019/20 season and has gone on to make 72 appearances for the club, primarily at central midfield.

Do you think Nandez would be a good signing for Leeds?

The 25-year-old is a versatile figure, though, and is also capable of playing on the right of midfield, in defensive midfield and on the left.

A Uruguay international with 35 caps, he has impressed Clancy with his performances in Serie A since his move from Argentina.

Indeed, he feels that he would slot straight into Bielsa’s starting XI if Leeds can do a deal, with Nandez valued at £19.8m by Transfermarkt.

Speaking exclusively to This Is Futbol, Clancy, who is the editor-in-chief at Forza Italian Football, said: “Anywhere Bielsa wants to play him, he’d do a job. I like him a lot.

“I think he’s only about five foot seven, but you wouldn’t know it if you just watched clips of him, he is a little bit of a machine. He’s so powerful but at the same time, has really, really good ball control.”
