Editor-in-chief of Forza Italian Football Conor Clancy has told This Is Futbol that he can see Udinese star Rodrigo de Paul tearing it up at Leeds United in the Premier League.

De Paul has been heavily linked with a move to Leeds, with Goal reporting that the 27-year-old midfielder could be sold for £35m this summer.

It is a lot of money, though that is understandable after the season De Paul just had. In 36 Serie A appearances, the Argentina international scored nine goals and set up another nine along the way.

And Clancy is confident he could do something similar in a Leeds team playing under countryman Marcelo Bielsa.

“You know what Bielsa does. Opposing teams have so much else to focus on when they’re trying to defend, I could see him [De Paul] tearing it up there,” Clancy said. I think he’d be a really, really nice signing.”

While De Paul does indeed look like he would be a good signing for Leeds, bringing him to Elland Road will not be easy.

As well as the hefty price tag on his head, the former Valencia man is also attracting interest from elsewhere, which includes La Liga champions Atletico Madrid.
