Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest piece of transfer news to emerge linking the Yorkshire club with a move for Liverpool right-back Neco Williams.

This comes after @leeds_utd_news shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in an article from The Athletic.

Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

The article claims that Leeds, alongside fellow Premier League clubs Aston Villa, Southampton and Burnley are interested in sign Williams this summer, who is reportedly pushing for a move away from Anfield this summer with the Reds supposedly demanding a fee of £10 million for him.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from a number of Leeds supporters who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on the matter.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to this claim linking the club with a move for Williams?

You know it’ll end up 10m + Raph #lufc

@scottlarsen_pi

“He’s so bad”

@Santanpad

“We’re just not though”

@lufc_fc

“Right back isn’t he? Don’t need one”

@Thorpy73Lufc

“Nope not for me. Positional sense is awful.”

@GaryPeck66

One Leeds fan, however, was feeling rather positive about a potential move for Williams.

“10m would be a steal bearing in mind he can play in about 72 different positions! The next Dallas?”

@GazzaThomas2

Looking at the replies to this post, it appears that the majority of these Leeds fans are not particularly excited or interested by the idea of their club potentially signing Williams from Liverpool this summer.

Would you take Neco Williams at Leeds for £10m this summer?

Yes

No

No

In our view, with the article claiming that the 20-year-old has a “desire to play regular first-team football,” perhaps moving to Elland Road wouldn’t be the best option for him considering that only Stuart Dallas played more minutes in the Premier League this season than current Leeds right-back Luke Ayling who seems to be the club’s first-choice for that position.
