Former Premier League striker Dean Windass has told Wales and Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey to “get back to the Premier League” and sign for Everton.

It’s been two years since Ramsey left England for Italy and joined the Old Lady from Arsenal.

However, the 30-year-old, who’s impressed for Wales at the European Championships, has struggled during his two seasons in Turin following his free transfer move from north London.

Ramsey has scored just six goals and added six assists in 65 appearances for the Serie A giants, although he has added three domestic trophies to his collection, including the Italian league title.

The £400,000 per-week star recently hinted about potentially quitting Juventus, with several sides, including Everton, keen on offering the attacking midfielder a Premier League lifeline.

Ramsey hasn’t yet hit the heights in Italy, but Windass still recognises his qualities, and told This is Futbol that he would be an asset to any manager:

“That attacking midfielder, who every manager needs, midfield players that can score goals, and Ramsey has that in abundance.

“Get yourself back to the Premier League, Everton would be a great fit for him.”
