To kick off this quiz on Seamus Coleman, what squad number does the right-back currently wear for the Toffees?

Carlo Ancelotti left Goodison Park last week for a return to Real Madrid, and Everton moved swiftly to have talks with Nuno after he left Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of the season.

It seems as if the talks went well, and if the Toffees appoint him, a Wolves player could be following Nuno to Merseyside.

Castles said: “Nuno Espirito Santo has already spoken to Everton, my guidance says the interview went well. Everton told him that he was [the] preferred choice for the job. However, they have put a hold on things since then and not actually offered him the job.

“Everton’s finances are not great, and this plays into what Nuno wants to know from Everton, which is what degree of spending will he be allowed to do on the squad and changes he will be allowed to make to the squad should they offer him the job.

“One individual who is important here is Pedro Neto. Nuno would like to take him to Everton in an ideal world. Everton have been interested in Neto for some time.”

Do you think Nuno and Neto would improve Everton?

TIF Thoughts on Nuno and Everton…

It is interesting that despite positive talks between Nuno and the Toffees, they have not offered him the job.

However, if they do, Nuno could be the man to push Everton on to the next level.

In two of his three Premier League campaigns with Wolves, he finished seventh, which if replicated, would be good progress for the Toffees.

If they did appoint Nuno and then managed to bring in Neto, that could be a great bit of business. The 21-year-old is versatile, a full international and was a bright spark in a poor season for Wolves.

So, if the Toffees give Nuno the job, Neto could be a fantastic addition to this current Everton squad.
