This is not the ideal preparation for the new season, and the Toffees need to act quickly to find a replacement.

However, Tottenham Hotspur are also searching for a new boss, and Prentice believes that this could cause some problems as both teams could be looking at the same managers.

TIF Thoughts on Tottenham and Everton competing for managers…

A few of the names linked with the vacant Toffees job like Nuno Espirito Santo, Roberto Martinez and Erik ten Hag have all been linked with the Tottenham job as well.

So, you can see how Tottenham’s search for a manager could impact Everton’s.

Spurs have European football, a bigger stadium, and arguably a better squad than the Toffees, and all these factors could come into play for any manager when deciding their next job.

However, Everton have an ambitious owner and an excellent director of football, so you can see why choosing between the Toffees and Spurs could become a difficult decision for certain individuals.

Given that many of the names linked to the Tottenham job have also been linked with the Everton job, we could be in for an intriguing summer as both clubs look to appoint the right boss to take them forward.
