Baggies fans were quick to respond, with the post receiving a lot of replies from supporters who weren’t shy to share their opinions.
“Surely this is a joke”
“Shocked he ain’t even managed a champ move. Looked ok for us…”
“That seems very cheap”
“Another one we’ve mismanaged then let go. Add it to the rest of the list. #wba“
“Fair. Don’t think he was ever going to make it at Albion.”
“I thought he wanted to fight for his place back at Albion”
“Another academy graduate not good enough”
Judging by the replies, Albion fans have mixed feelings about the sale of the 21-year-old.
Harper has come through the academy at West Brom and got his debut at the club against Bournemouth in the Premier League on the first day of the 2017/18 season, and in the process became only the second person born in this century to make a top-flight appearance.
Harper spent last season on loan at Birmingham City, where the defensive midfielder earned himself a WhoScored rating of 6.21 for his performances as Birmingham finished 18th in the league, nine points above the relegation zone.
