This comes after Sheffield Wednesday journalist for The Star, Joe Crann tweeted a report suggesting that there has been ‘progress’ with Wednesday’s financial situation.
This was picked up on by many fans of the Owls, who weren’t shy in letting their feelings be known.
“That’s good to hear!”
“Joe please stop with the positivity we’re just not used to it”
“Stop teasing me Joe, stories like will end up with me catching Hope again!”
“I’m one of those who has been owed for well over a year – not a sniff”
Judging by the replies from the Sheffield Wednesday fans, many of them are shocked by what seems like positive news for a change.
The Owls have had a difficult season, both on and off the pitch as they were relegated to League One on the final day of the season as well as having financial issues off the field which led to a six-point deduction.
However, this is positive news dealt by Crann, who has suggested that progress has been made regarding the situation of unpaid wages.
