Sheffield United fans have been reacting to the latest transfer news involving the football club.

This comes as Blades-focused account The Bladesman relayed a claim from The Athletic, which has suggested that there has been contact between Sheffield United and Arsenal over Blades goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

It had been reported in recent weeks that the Gunners were interested in the shot-stopper, and it seems that dialogue has begun over a potential transfer.

This triggered a whole host of responses from Blades fans, many of whom weren’t impressed with the news.

Judging by the responses to this tweet, Sheffield United fans wouldn’t be happy if their club were to sell their number one.

Ramsdale has been relegated from the Premier League in back-to-back seasons following his move from Bournemouth last summer for a fee of £18.5 million, becoming an ever-present in the team as the club finished bottom of the Premier League. The 23-year-old kept five clean sheets and conceded 63 goals in the process.

Therefore, the replies may suggest that the fans do not hold Ramsdale responsible for their dismal campaign last term, and will be looking forward to seeing the England man between the sticks at Bramall Lane if they can stave off Arsenal’s interest.
