Queens Park Rangers fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest news surrounding their club and particularly Tom Carroll.

This comes after West London Sport tweeted an article suggesting that Carroll has rejected a contract offer from the R’s.

This post then gathered a number of replies from QPR supporters who weren’t shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest update.

“Good player but annoying as we gave him that chance to play football but might be saving us a lot of trouble because let’s face it he’s gonna get injured again”

“People acting as if he was intentionally injured so he could sit on his backside. I’m disappointed he’s not staying but we don’t know what deal he was offered. Can’t blame him for wanting to play. As offensive as it may be to some he doesn’t owe us anything.”

“Really not bothered, we have many players far superior.”

“Bit of a shame, but not surprised. Thought he was one of our better ones pre January, but with Johansen and Field joining permanently and Amos returning from injury, he’d probably be 4th / 5th choice CM, and seeing as we’ll probably only use 1 of them at times, this makes sense.”

“This is sad considering the club has helped him through injury, though you don’t know what the terms were. I say put his wages towards securing Johansen”

“This to me seems an incredibly unwise decision on his behalf.”

Judging by the responses to the post, though many are gutted that Carroll didn’t reach his full potential with the Hoops, not many are begrudging him or the club for the 29-year-old moving on.

Tom Carroll signed on a one year deal at QPR from Swansea last year.  The 29-year-old is a defensive-minded central midfielder who played 22 times for the R’s this season prior to picking up an injury, which saw him miss the rest of the season.

Carroll got one assist in the Championship for QPR this season and was rated 6.42 by WhoScored.
