Leeds United fan Joe Wainman has called on the Whites to sign Spain and Huesca left-back Javier Galán as current Whites star Ezgjan Alioski’s contract runs out at the end of this month.

Alioski, who has recently taken part at Euro 2020 with North Macedonia, has been at Leeds since 2017 and is still yet to decide his future with only one week remaining on his current deal at Elland Road.

With his future uncertain, Leeds are reportedly in the market for a left-back and reports over recent days have strongly linked Marcelo Bielsa’s side with the Spanish full-back.

Wainman seemed very excited at the prospect of the Huesca man potentially moving to Elland Road.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, he had this to say on the rumours:

“As you guys all know, I am really sold on Huesca left-back Javi Galán. Now, it’s been reported in Mundo Deportivo that despite fresh interest from both Atletico Madrid and Sevilla, he is still favourite for a move to Leeds United.

“The 26-year-old has a bargain €4m exit clause in his contract. He’s the one that I want, and for that kind of fee, get it done.”

TIF Thoughts on Javier Galán….

Galan’s potential arrival could be a shrewd piece of business for Bielsa and his side. Valued at just £5,4million by Transfermarkt, he could be the perfect replacement for Alioski if he ends up leaving the club.

Galan played was nearly ever-present for Huesca last season as he appeared in 37 of their 38 La Liga games, notching one goal and two assists in the process.

According to WhoScored, Galan achieved the highest average rating amongst his teammates by a considerable margin, so after shining in a team that were relegated from the Spanish top flight last term, he could be an underrated gem, especially for the reported price he could be available for.
