A lot of Leeds United fans have flocked to a post from leedsunited_news, which has relayed a claim from L’Unione Sarda regarding Nahitan Nandez.
The Italian publication claims (via TuttoMercato) that the Whites are showing more interest in signing the Uruguayan than any other Italian side, and that he will cost around £26m.
This has drawn the attention of these Leeds fans, who have had their say.
“Great Uruguayan midfielder who played for Boca Juniors in Argentina. Skilled with the ball, tough and hard to beat”
“Also for people who don’t know in FIFA 21 he’s one of the highest stamina levels. He’s made for a Bielsa team”
“Would be an excellent player for us hard-working but can pass and shoot, not sure on the 26 million tho I think that’s too high”
Do you think Nandez would be a good signing for Leeds?
Yes, he could be brilliant
No, we can do better
Nandez plays for Cagliari and in the 2020/21 season, he made 32 appearances in Serie A and earned a 6.72/10 rating from WhoScored.
He is also a natural central midfielder, and given the shortage of options the Whites have in the centre of midfield, he could be a good addition as they look to push on from their ninth-place finish.
This post continued to draw in Leeds fans who had their say.
“He’s a good footballer, still relatively young. Bielsa could make him great.”
“i remember we were linked with him back in 2019 and looked a good player back then. De Paul alternative?”
“26 on a player that his team was almost regelated last season and somehow an average player with almost 5 out of 10 as final score is too much..”
It remains to be seen if the Whites make a move for Nandez, but it is clear that his potential signing has split the Leeds fanbase.
