Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest piece of transfer news concerning the Yorkshire club linking them with a move for Fulham midfielder Harrison Reed during the current summer transfer window.

This comes after @leeds_utd_news shared a post on their Twitter page relaying news originally published in an article from the Daily Mail.

Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

The article claims that Marcelo Bielsa’s side are one of a number of Premier League clubs that have “tracked the 26-year-old with a view to a summer swoop.”

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds supporters who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest update.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to this latest transfer claim linking the club with Reed?

Some Leeds fans were quite happy with the idea of Reed joining the Yorkshire club.

“Think he could do ok with us”

@Rob94247840

“Yes please. Very mobile and loves a tackle.”

@BatesyV5

Others were not so keen to see the Fulham man potentially making a move to Elland Road this summer.

“Wow, he’s nowhere near good enough”

@maccathebomb

“Average player”

@MartinMoran74

“Not happening and not good enough”

@russianbot3004

“Meh”

@tobybrannan8

“Rather not.”

@BrokenLizard22

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems that the majority of these Leeds fans would not be too pleased to potentially see their club make a move to sign Reed this summer.

Would Harrison Reed be a good fit for Leeds?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Given how Reed only managed to earn himself a fairly underwhelming overall season rating of 6.66/10 for his performances in the Premier League this season with Scott Parker’s side, this doesn’t suggest to us that he could be a worthwhile signing for the Yorkshire club.

On the other hand, taking into account that current Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips missed several league games through injuries this season, Reed could possibly act as a suitable replacement for Phillips next season based on his experience of playing in the Premier League, in our view.
