Leeds United fans have been reacting to claims regarding a potential new signing that the club could make this summer.
Left-back is a position that the club aren’t exactly strong in going into next season, with only the inexperienced Leif Davis likely to be available amid uncertainty over Ezgjan Alioski’s future, with the other natural left-back under contract, Laurens De Bock, unlikely to play given his own apparent lack of a future at Elland Road.
So it’s easy to see why Leeds might be looking for another option there. Recent reports have linked SD Huesca defender Javi Galan with a move to the club, with reports in Spain claiming that his release fee has now dropped from €8m to €4m (£3.4m) following Huesca’s relegation from La Liga.
Meanwhile, Mundo has reported (via Leeds Live) that he has “his suitcases ready”, hinting that a deal could very well be close. This news was relayed to fans via @LS11LUFC on social media, where there were plenty of fans who were delighted to hear the news that the deal appeared to be close:
“Sounds promising”
Should Leeds spend heavily in the summer?
Yes
No
It certainly seems as if Leeds have got a good player on their hands, judging by these reactions. Only time will tell if they end up being right, though – if indeed the deal does get made.
