Despite Norwich City earning promotion as Championship champions this season it is widely expected that Emiliano Buendia will depart Carrow Road this summer, but former Leeds United midfielder David Norris can’t see him at Elland Road.

Buendia won the Championship’s player of the year award after he registered an outstanding 15 goals and 17 assists as he was the main man behind the Canaries’ immediate bounce back to the big time.

Could Buendia replace Pablo Hernandez?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

There is now a huge hole to fill in the Leeds side and dressing room as club legend, Pablo Hernandez, played his final game for the club before his contract expires, and Buendia has been linked with a move to Elland Road in an attempt to replace Hernandez’s quality on the ball.

Despite not playing very often in the Premier League for Leeds, Hernandez was a true icon at the club and Norris does not believe that Buendia would be capable of replacing him. That’s what he exclusively told This is Futbol:

I don’t see him as a replacement because he’s good but not great, and obviously Hernandez was fantastic.

“So, I think there’s a chance of him joining but I wouldn’t see him as a replacement.”

Leeds have had some odd players over the last ten years but how well do you remember them. Starting with the most recent one, who is this?

This is set to be Buendia’s second season in the Premier League with his first one coming in Norwich’s last outing in the top flight when they finished rock bottom recording just five wins.

Buendia is not going to be the only player Norwich may struggle to keep hold of with the likes of Todd Cantwell and Max Aarons constantly being linked with a move away to bigger clubs.
