Dean Windass believes that Adama Traore would be an excellent addition for Leeds United.

This comes after Wolves have reportedly made cashing-in on their flying winger a priority to raise funds for new manager Bruno Lage.

Would you take Neco Williams at Leeds for £10m this summer?

Traore has established himself as one of the most dangerous attacking players in the Premier League in recent seasons, even though his numbers don’t back that up.

He managed just two goals and three assists in 37 Premier League outings last season, with Traore having scored just 16 times in more than 200 appearances in English football.

Despite those underwhelming statistics, Windass is confident that Traore, who’s currently at Euro 2020 with Spain, would improve Leeds’ attack and fit perfectly into Bielsa’s 4-3-3 variations alongside the likes of Patrick Bamford and Raphinha.

Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

Asked whether he thinks the Leeds boss would be willing to take Traore under his wing, Windass exclusively told This is Futbol:

“All day long! The one thing that I would say about Traore, and he’s probably the quickest man in football, but if I were his manager, I would play him in the wide area or down the middle.

“You look at Leeds and see them on the counter-attack, they’ve got pace in abundance, he would add to that. Wolves won’t want to lose him, but money talks and I think he would be a great fit in that wide area of the 4-3-3.”

Whilst Traore continues to fail to live up to expectations at Wolves, if there’s one manager that could take him to the next level then that’s Bielsa.
