Dean Windass believes that Michy Batshuayi would snap up the chance to work under Marcelo Bielsa once again.

The Belgian striker was Bielsa’s first signing at Marseille back in 2014, and reports are suggesting that the Argentine is looking to repeat the trick for Leeds.

Do you think Leeds can finish in the top six next season?

Batshuayi is still a Chelsea player, but endured another difficult season on loan at Crystal Palace last season, scoring just twice in 20 appearances.

In fact, Batshuayi hasn’t featured for his parent club since a substitute outing against Bournemouth back in February 2020 before lockdown, which would suggest his days at Stamford Bridge are numbered.

Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

And therefore, Windass thinks that a move to Elland Road is a possibility for the 27-year-old forward.

Batshuayi enjoyed a prolific season during their previous time working together, scoring 10 goals in 29 matches as a 20-year-old in France, and Windass exclusively told This is Futbol that he wouldn’t say no to linking up with Bielsa again:

“I could see that. I would love to see Bielsa’s list because it would be very interesting.

“He’s got to go back to Chelsea and prove himself there, but if Bielsa comes in and the money is right, I’m sure he would want to join him again.”
