Speaking exclusively to This Is Futbol, former Leeds United midfielder David Norris believes multiple clubs are trying to sign Diego Llorente.

Llorente only arrived at Elland Road in the last summer transfer window and missed a large chunk of the 2020/21 season due to a groin injury.

However, when he did manage to play, he impressed, with manager Marcelo Bielsa describing the 27-year-old as a player with “hierarchy”.

Will Llorente leave this summer?

And it seems that has not gone unnoticed. According to Football Insider, Leeds are now braced for offers for Llorente, which comes as no surprise to Norris.

“I’m sure there’ll have been contact made by some of the bigger clubs and they’ll be keeping tabs on him,” the ex-Leeds player said.

“I think that Leeds are not going to look to let him go. He’s going to cost a fortune, one season into a contract and with him doing so well towards the end of the second half of the season.”

Indeed, with Llorente still having three years left on his contract, Leeds are under no pressure to sell the Spain international this summer.

Given that the interest Llorente is attracting is said to be from the Premier League, though, if a bid comes in from one of the loaded top six, perhaps it could end up being too good to turn down.
