Derby County fans have been reacting on Twitter to the latest news that involves the club, as information regarding their pre-season was released.

This comes as the club’s official Twitter account shared the news that Derby will face Manchester United during their pre-season programme this summer, meaning that a reunion between Derby manager Wayne Rooney and his former club lays ahead.

Fans were quick to share their feelings on the news, with many sarcastically pointing out last week’s news that Derby currently only have 14 players

The two sides will meet on July 18th at Pride Park.

Derby had a difficult season this year, narrowly avoiding relegation on the final day of the season after drawing with Sheffield Wednesday as financial woes surrounded them off the pitch, with the club still waiting on a potential punishment for breaking FFP regulations.

Rooney took over as caretaker manager of the club in November after Phillip Cocu was sacked following a string of poor results and the Liverpudlian was given the permanent manager’s job in January.

The Derby manager spent 13 years as a player at Manchester United and he will be all set for Derby welcoming United to Pride Park, but fans are worried that the club will not have enough players for the fixture at this rate.
