Birmingham City fans have been on Twitter reacting to the club’s latest news after a new signing was confirmed.
The club’s official Twitter account confirmed the signing of 27-year-old midfielder Ryan Woods, who joins the club after departing from Stoke City on a free transfer.

Judging by the reactions from Birmingham fans, they seem overjoyed with the news that Woods has joined the club.
The 27-year-old is a vastly experienced player in the Championship, having made over 200 appearances in the second tier.
The Staffordshire-born central midfielder, who can also play on the right of midfield as well as at right-back, began his career at Shrewsbury Town before making a move to Brentford and then Stoke, who paid £7m for his services after making his deal a permanent one following a loan spell with the Potters.
Woods has spent the last year and a half on loan at Millwall but will join Bowyer’s Birmingham City on 1st July as his contract with Stoke comes to an end.
Speaking on his excitement at coming to St. Andrew’s, Woods said:

“I can’t wait to go to St. Andrew’s and have the crowd behind me rather than them giving me some stick! To hopefully have the fans back in the stadium will be amazing and I’m buzzing to play in front of them.”
