A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to the latest transfer claim to emerge ahead of this summer’s window.
According to Football Insider, Spurs will look to sign Norwich City’s Max Aarons this summer despite the club recently earning their spot in the English top-flight for next season.
Should Spurs sign Aarons this summer?
Spurs have been linked with the right-back in the past but Aarons stayed at the Canaries and has since earned promotion straight back to the Premier League following their relegation in 2020.
The English right-back has enjoyed another productive season for Daniel Farke having netted twice and provided four assists in the Championship alone (via Transfermarkt).
Tottenham fans flocked to the tweet from The Spurs Express relaying the claim from Football Insider to give their thoughts on the transfer speculation.
“I am on my hands and knees”
“buy him, sell Aurier or Doherty for 10-15m and it’ll be a job well done.”
Spurs signed Matt Doherty last summer from Wolverhampton Wanderers, however, the Irish right-back has failed to make a good first impression in north London with just 15 league appearances this season (via Transfermarkt
), which could potentially make way for Aarons to join the squad.
Going by the reaction of these Spurs fans it is apparent they would be delighted to see Aarons join their side this summer along with their on-loan midfielder Oliver Skipp.
