A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to voice their delight at the latest news surrounding the club’s search for a new manager.

Spurs have been without a permanent manager for just over two weeks now after Daniel Levy sacked their 58-year-old former manager, Jose Mourinho.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Spurs have initiated contact over the former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.

However, the report also states the Italian manager who is currently managing the Serie A champions, Inter Milan, has given his ‘priority’ to the Italian club.

Spurs have been linked with a host of potential managerial candidates, with two of the favourites in Erik ten Hag and Julian Nagelsmann now off the table.

In response to the claim that Spurs had begun talks with the Italian boss, fans flocked to a tweet relaying the suggestion to show their delight.

“I would cry tears of joy but there’s no chance we get him and if we did we don’t have the juice to recover in the post conte era. I’d sell my soul for that potential PL though”

Conte was in charge at Chelsea the last time the blues got their hands on the Premier League trophy in the 2016/17 where they pipped second-placed Tottenham to the title.

Going by the reaction of these Spurs fans it is clear to see their excitement at the claim, however, going by what was said in the article it seems the 51-year-old is happy at Inter.
