Alasdair Gold has been discussing all things Tottenham Hotspur related on his latest Youtube video following the conclusion of the 2020/21 campaign.

One topic which has been at the centre of all things football recently has been Harry Kane’s future with the north London club ahead of the summer transfer window.

Will Kane leave Spurs this summer?

Yes

No

No

According to reports, Kane is wishing to leave Tottenham this summer with Manchester United and Manchester City said to be interested.

The England captain secured the Premier League Golden Boot and Playmaker awards on the weekend with a goal and assist in their 4-2 victory over Leicester City (via Transfermarkt).

Gold brought up the topic of Kane’s future with the club he has now scored 166 Premier League goals for and had this to say on the matter:

(8:18) “For me, as far as I’m aware, he’s not directly told Tottenham Hotspur that he wants to leave the club. That hasn’t actually happened from what I’m told.

“I do think that, from everything I understand, that if an offer were to come in, he would want the club to consider it, which obviously is a different thing.”

(10:53) “But yeah, Kane himself. Again, straight out there, I want to put it out there. Everything I’ve heard from within Tottenham, they’re not expecting to sell him this summer. They’re not.

“Harry Kane and his entourage may well have other ideas. But ultimately, as I said about the players earlier on in this, it’s about getting that bid in and it’s about getting a bid that is in any way to slightly turn Tottenham’s head to start talks. And I think that’s a crucial thing.”

TIF Thoughts on Kane’s future…

This will provide Spurs fans with some encouragement their main man will be at the club next season. From the reports which have emerged over the last week, it seems there is little doubt that Kane wants to leave.

However, as Gold says there will be issues Kane will incur if he is to get his move this summer.

The 27-year-old is valued at £108m by Transfermarkt and given the recent financial issues experienced in football, it could be difficult for any club to make a bid in the region of that valuation to prise the talisman away from Spurs.
