Celtic fans have been reacting to the latest transfer claims to come out of the club.

With the season officially wrapped up now, everyone’s attention can start to look ahead to the next campaign, who is going to be in the dugout and who is going to be on the pitch. On the latter front, it would appear as though Celtic have made a move ahead of the new season.

Starting with an easy one - which club did Celtic sign Moussa Dembele from?

A report from Iron-Bru claims that the Bhoys have completed the signing of 17-year-old Scunthorpe United man Joey Dawson on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract at Glanford Park. The youngster has only made one senior appearance for the Iron, but clearly, there’s something that the powers that be at Celtic have seen to convince them to make a move.

The news was relayed to fans via @aboutceltic on Twitter, where there didn’t seem to be much enthusiasm about the idea of him signing, with some not too happy about the idea of bringing a youngster in rather than focusing on the first-team:

“Cue fans moaning about us signing young players for future”

“Why don’t Celtic sign an experienced player and not another experiment”
“Huh”
“Great business if true. So many young players to snap up.”
“No way that’s Paul Slane 2.0”
“This is only any use if we make sure we fix the issues with the academy and structure a proper pathway to the first team, the exodus of young talent hasn’t been for no reason.”

And after the season that they’ve had, you can’t really blame some fans for wanting to make sure that the first team take priority this summer. Although, a couple were more open to the idea.
