Former Rangers star Michael Ball has told This Is Futbol that Ryan Kent would be a great Premier League player amid links with Leeds United.

Kent has been in fine form for the Scottish champions this season, with Steven Gerrard’s side absolutely cruising to the title.

Kent has scored 12 goals and laid on 13 assists in all competitions and the former Liverpool youth product has subsequently been linked with a move to England.

Do you think Ryan Kent could perform at a high standard more consistently?

No, he already does that

Yes, I think he could

Yes, I think he could

Rangers paid £7.5m to sign the player from the Reds, despite him making just one senior appearance for the club.

Ball believes that the winger has the attributes required to make the leap to the top-flight, with Leeds said to be considering a bid.

The Sun reports that manager Marcelo Bielsa is keen on a move for the player and Ball thinks that Kent can be an electric presence south of the border if his development continues.

Asked if he would make an impact in England, he told TIF: “I think he could. With Ryan, he was a young kid at Liverpool coming through and the fee Rangers spent, that was the trust the board put into Steven, knowing the background of Ryan Kent and the coaching staff that knew Ryan Kent, that he’s worth this money.

“He’s the type of player who can win you big games and he’s got the attributes to be a really, really top player.”
