Ex-Celtic hero Davie Provan has recently made a big claim about Eddie Howe’s potential Parkhead move.

Provan appeared on the latest episode of the Go Radio Football Show and he talked about Eddie Howe and his potential move to Celtic. Provan believes that Celtic majority shareholder Dermot Desmond would not expose himself to embarrassment in the chase of Howe and the deal is pretty much done.

Howe has already held face-to-face talks with Desmond and he made certain demands to the club before he takes over. He’s agreed to have Gavin Strachan and John Kennedy as part of his staff, but he’s now piecing together other members of the staff too.

Is Howe to Celtic a done deal?

Provan feels that Howe hasn’t ruled himself out of the job yet and if one reads between the lines, it suggests that the deal is done already.

He stated: “I don’t think for a moment that Dermot Desmond would have exposed himself to the possibility of being embarrassed by Eddie Howe. And Eddie Howe himself has chosen not to rule himself out. So reading between the lines I think there’s an agreement, I think it’s a done deal.”

TIF Thoughts on Howe’s Celtic move…

The previous updates about Howe’s Celtic switch are promising and there’s nothing to suggest that the move might fall through, with journalist Stephen McGowan also claiming that Howe isn’t holding out for a move to other clubs and he’s serious about the opening at Parkhead.

So perhaps, Celtic fans shouldn’t be too worried about this saga and with the Champions League qualifiers starting in June itself, the club should look to bring in Howe as soon as possible.
