Journalist Rob Maclean has recently made a big reveal about Eddie Howe’s potential move to Celtic.

Maclean appeared as a guest on the latest episode of the Go Radio Football Show and along with the panel, he talked about numerous issues involving the Hoops and Scottish football.

Maclean talked about Howe’s potential Parkhead move, saying that it is only a matter of time before Howe gets announced as the Celtic boss. The journalist also revealed that there are contractual things being sorted out.

Should Celtic hurry up in their chase of Howe?

Howe has previously held a face-to-face meeting with Dermot Desmond and he’s made certain demands to the club before taking over. He’s also agreed to have John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan as members of his staff (as per Daily Mail).

It has also been reported that Howe is already putting together the staff that he’ll have when he starts to manage Celtic.

Maclean provided updates about the situation and said (2:31) “All Celtic fans are desperate for some news and the feeling is that there will be some news, maybe even this week, we will find out. And presumably it’s just a matter of time before it is formally announced that Eddie Howe is in the job.

“I’m hearing that there might be contractual things going on. There might be links still back to Bournemouth and reasons why he can’t be appointed as the Celtic manager till the end of the season. But in between times there’s been this massive void of information, even hints being dropped by the Celtic hierarchy, that everything was under control.”

TIF Thoughts on Howe…

Considering the previous updates about Howe and the updates that Maclean has provided, it does seem as if things are going on track as far as Howe’s move to Parkhead is concerned.

Having said that, the Hoops might have to play in a Champions League qualifier in July and bringing in Howe as soon as possible could help them improve their chances of winning those games earlier in the campaign. So perhaps, they should consider moving quickly.
