While Turnbull has won this accolade, he was also in the running for the Scottish Football Writers’ Association Young Player of the Year award. He failed to win that though, as Hibernian youngster Josh Doig picked up that accolade.

Celtic fans can you get 8/8 on this quiz on forgotten players. First up, who is this?

The Scotsman has contributed to 17 goals in all competitions for Celtic, even though he was rarely involved in the first half of the campaign. It shows that he’s certainly a quality player and because of that, he probably deserves the award.
