Celtic fans, can you get 8/8 on this quiz on forgotten players? First up: who is this?

The deal for the Bournemouth boss to take over at Celtic Park has been reported as done (Daily Record, via Scottish Sun), but here we are near the end of May, and nothing has been confirmed yet.

This whole situation seems to be annoying those on the Celtic board, and McGarry seems to think that the Bhoys could start looking for an alternative option.

He said: (44:11) “We understand that their pursuit of Eddie Howe is becoming a source of great frustration for both the owner Dermot Desmond and the incoming chief executive Dominic McKay.

“It’s not really surprising is it that they should look for a plan B given that Howe has had more than three meetings with the Celtic hierarchy with regards to replacing Neil Lennon and has yet to commit.

“He could have signed a pre-contract or a heads of agreement which he’s not done, and Celtic’s executives are becoming very, very impatient.”

Duncan Castles then added that Howe’s representatives are potentially trying to find other clubs to take the former Bournemouth boss.

(45:53) “Our information, Howe’s representatives are pushing him for other jobs. It wouldn’t surprise me at all that Eddie Howe thinks he has an outside opportunity of the Tottenham Hotspur job.”

Do you think Celtic should move on from Howe?

TIF Thoughts on Howe and Celtic…

This whole Howe saga has been going on for a long time now, and it sounds like many people within the club are running out of patience waiting.

Howe has been out of work for nearly a year, and you would think that he would be chomping at the bit to get back involved and take the Celtic job.

However, this hesitancy is a big red flag for us, and even if he does eventually take it, surely his commitment to the cause has to be questioned?

It will be interesting to see how long the Bhoys continue to wait for Howe before deciding to move on.
