Celtic fans have been reacting on Facebook after former Hoops star Jim Duffy claimed Jack Ross should be considered for the vacant manager’s role.

The Glasgow giants have been searching for a new boss ever since Neil Lennon resigned back in February following a 1-0 defeat to Scottish Premiership minnows Ross County.

Several big names have been linked with succeeding the Northern Irishman at Parkhead, including Eddie Howe, Rafael Benitez and Roberto Martinez, but Duffy has suggested the current Hibernian manager should also be in the running.

Ross has guided the capital club to third place in the top-flight table as well as a Scottish Cup final, impressing Duffy, who claimed his former side ought to consider the 44-year-old on a recent installment of Superscoreboard, although it seems as though the club’s supporters aren’t in agreement.

Compared to many other names, who are reportedly on Celtic’s shortlist, Ross hasn’t achieved much in the game throughout his relatively short career. However, if he manages to win some silverware with the Hibees this season, then perhaps people’s perceptions of him will change.
