To kick off this quiz on Romain Saiss, what squad number does the defensive midfielder currently wear for the Old Gold?

Shaqiri joined Liverpool in the summer of 2018, but he has only made 62 appearances for the Reds since then, and there are rumours that he will be allowed to leave Anfield this summer.

However, before playing for Liverpool, Shaqiri played 84 Premier League games for Stoke City and scored 15 goals and provided 15 assists, so he has proven in the past that he can compete in the top-flight.

Certainly, Windass would like to see Shaqiri at Molineux next season.

He said: “He’s a Wolves type of player as he is technically very good, but he has found it very difficult at Liverpool to get a regular spot, but don’t get me wrong, he’s a quality footballer, so I could see him fitting in well at Wolves.

“Nuno would be a big pull for him as he would put his arm over his shoulder and tell him he will start every week. I think they’ll invest next year, and that could be quite a good signing for them.”

TIF Thoughts on Shaqiri to Wolves…

The 29-year-old, who is valued at £12.6m by Transfermarkt, has barely played any league football this season, featuring for just 520 minutes.

However, he is still young enough to make an impact for Wolves, and if they could get him for cheap, then we think that this could be a good deal for the Old Gold to pursue.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the summer, but if Wolves make a move for Shaqiri, we think he could turn out to be a good signing.
