Pundit Dean Windass has recently discussed Watford’s potential move for their former star Ashley Young.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has recently reported about Young, stating that Watford have now opened talks to bring the Englishman back to Vicarage Road in the summer transfer window.
The journalist also stated that if the ex-Manchester United man doesn’t sign a new deal at Inter, there is a big chance that he returns to Hertfordshire.
Inter have already sealed the Scudetto this season, as Atalanta failed to beat Roberto de Zerbi’s Sassuolo in their Serie A clash.

Windass made it clear in a chat with Transfer Tavern that he’s willing to put money on the fact that the Hornets will sign Young in the summer, as the Englishman probably wants to return to England.
He said: “He’s had a wonderful career. I’ll put a bet on at the bookies that he’ll end up at Watford. He’s still a relatively young man, probably wants to get back to London, where he started.
“That would be a great signing for Watford and a great signing for Ash. If the manager sees an interest in Ashley Young, I think he’d jump at the chance, especially now they’re back in the Premier League.”

While Young has now pretty much won the Scudetto, the veteran has also won the Premier League title, the FA Cup, League Cup and the Europa League with Manchester United.
He’ll offer Watford loads of experience of having played in the Premier League and not just that, Young can also play a variety of positions.
His experience and versatility could prove crucial for the club, with the bonus of his contract expires in the summer meaning he would arrive on a free transfer.
