Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to claims regarding Gareth Southgate and the managerial position in North London.

Interim-manager Ryan Mason is now into the final week of his tenure in charge at the club, with just two games against Aston Villa and Leicester City left to go, after which their next competitive game, you would imagine, will see a different man in the dugout assuming Mason doesn’t end up staying in charge.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

One of the names that has been linked with the role is the England boss Southgate, who obviously wouldn’t have been available until after this summer’s European Championships anyway, but according to a report in The Telegraph, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy “seems to have shown little or no interest in Gareth Southgate.”

News that was met with great joy from the Tottenham fans online when it was relayed to them via @TheSpursExpress on social media, who clearly weren’t too keen on him taking over:

“That would be the final nail in the coffin for me. I simply wouldn’t watch until he’s gone”

“Thank god for that terrible manager”
“Phew”
“Hallelujah”
“Finally, some good news.”
“Little?? Nice I’m so happy”

Would you be happy to see Gareth Southgate in charge?

Given star man Harry Kane’s record under Southgate, you’d imagine that this sort of partnership might flourish, but clearly, that thought wasn’t all that appealing in the eyes of these supporters.
