On Gold’s latest YouTube video, the Spurs journalist addressed reported target Erik ten Hag as Mourinho’s potential successor.

He said: “I can understand why the links are still there but I always thought his comments would [be] very hard to go back on if he walked to Tottenham but we’ll see, I don’t think you can entirely rule him out.”

Ten Hag is currently managing and had his contract extended by an year just last month – taking his contract to June 2023.
