A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the latest news to emerge surrounding the ongoing Harry Kane transfer saga.
It was reported earlier this week that the England captain has informed the club he is looking for a move away from the north London side this summer.
However, Spurs journalist Alasdair Gold has stated Spurs do not expect to sell the 27-year-old striker and it would take a huge sum of money to even get the conversation going.
Kane has been in stunning form this season for the Lilywhites having netted 22 times in the Premier League alone as well as providing 13 assists (via Transfermarkt).
Spurs fans flocked to a tweet from The Spurs Express relaying the claim from the Spurs journalist and it was clear they were pleased by what they heard.
What exactly did these Spurs fans have to say?
“Please let this be the case”
“Totally agree! Kane may go and win somewhere else but Spurs have had plenty of big games and big moments that could have led to trophies and we came up short every time. If we were a bit more ruthless Kane could 5-6 trophies by now.”
“If that’s the case then we better be selling everyone else and bringing in players that can actually play”
“Don’t do this to me Ali”
The England captain recently appeared on a YouTube show (via Football.london) with Gary Neville in which he openly admitted he will be having a conversation with Daniel Levy regarding his future.
However, Spurs fans were clearly pleased to read this claim from the respected journalist despite speculation suggesting Kane has his eyes set on a move away from the Lilywhites.
