Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to the latest claims surrounding the future of Erik Lamela.
This season hasn’t been the greatest for the Argentinian midfielder, only managing to score four goals and chip in with one assist. While he made making 35 appearances, only 13 of them were starts and he did suffer a calf injury in the middle of it as he struggled to really make a lasting impact on the first team.
Despite that, though, there are still some teams out there that seem to think the 29-year-old could be of use to them going forward, with a report from Corriere dello Sport claiming that Serie A side Napoli have shown an interest in him and could make a move for him this summer.
This news was relayed to supporters by @thespursweb, where there seemed to be plenty of fans who were happy to see the back of him:
“There is a God”
Should Spurs sell Lamela this summer?
Yes
No
Lamela’s contract expires next summer, so this upcoming window is one of the last chances they have to sell him and make any money, rather than risk losing him on a free transfer. Whether or not they end up doing so, we’ll just have to wait and see.
