Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have been discussing a news update involving Steve Hitchen that emerged on social media.
Journalist Alasdair Gold has recently revealed some information about Hitchen, saying that there is no indication from the club that they are looking for a new director of football to replace the Englishman.
The journalist has also stated that from the outside, the sporting director seems like a tough job at Tottenham, as many in the past have taken that role but they’ve been let down by the financial constraints.

Hitchen claimed the current role at Spurs back in January 2019, having previously been a scout and a chief scout at the club.
Since his arrival, Spurs have spent over £200 million on transfers but they failed to qualify for the Champions League last season and they might not even qualify this season. Because of how the club has failed to perform at high levels despite spending quite a lot of money, it is easy to see why some Spurs fans are angry at Hitchen.
