Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have been discussing the club’s links with a potential move for Zinedine Zidane.

The Telegraph has recently reported about Spurs’ hunt for a new manager, saying that while they are now considering moving for Antonio Conte, Zidane’s Real Madrid exit could see them explore the Frenchman’s intentions, even though the ex-Juventus player wants to manage the French national team in the future.

The report does state that Spurs have been alerted to the availability of Conte, who is keen on the idea of returning to England. If Spurs do move for the Italian, it could also increase their chances of moving for former Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici, who left recently.

In his managerial career, Zidane has won the Champions League title three times and helped Real Madrid win La Liga twice. It shows that he certainly has the pedigree to win things.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

Zidane’s playing style is known to be pragmatic and focuses on defending first. Considering that Spurs are looking for a manager who professes an attacking brand of football, this would presumably present quite a dilemma since Zidane clearly has a reputation for winning trophies and Spurs haven’t won a trophy since 2008.

So it depends on what Daniel Levy wants – someone who could win Spurs trophies or someone who deploys the progressive brand of football he is thought to be after.
