Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to voice their thoughts at the latest claim to emerge from journalist Alasdair Gold.
According to Sky Sports, the north London club are in talks with Belgium manager Roberto Martinez to fill their vacant managerial position.
Do you expect a manager to be announced by the end of this week?
Yes
No
However, Spurs journalist Gold was quick to quash the claims from Sky Sports and insisted Martinez was not a contender to become the next Tottenham manager.
Martinez is just one of the names to be linked with a potential switch to Tottenham following the sacking of Jose Mourinho in April.
Spurs fans flocked to the tweet from their well-respected journalist as they showed their absolute delight in his latest claim.
What exactly did these Spurs fans have to say?
“Sky sports spouting nonsense once again then”
It was reported by Gold last week that Daniel Levy has whittled his shortlist down to his desired candidate and hopes to make the appointment within a 10-day timescale.
In what appears to be a significant development, it looks as though the former Everton boss is out of the running, which only prolongs the wait for a new boss at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Going by the reaction of these Spurs fans it is clear they are delighted to hear Martinez is not one of their options to become their next manager following the report to emerge from Sky Sports.
