Tottenham Hotspur journalist Alasdair Gold has been speaking on his latest YouTube video about all things related to the north London club.

Spurs ended their 2020/21 campaign with an impressive 4-2 win away to Leicester City which saw the Lilywhites finish in seventh place in the Premier League table.

Will any of these three players leave this summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

However, there were three noteworthy absentees from the squad which travelled to the midlands for the final game of the campaign.

Serge Aurier, Moussa Sissoko and club-record signing Tanguy Ndombele all missed the trip to the King Power Stadium.

In his latest video, Gold discussed the reasoning behind the absence of the three players.

He said: “It was the night before, and I put a little thing out in the morning saying that there’d be players missing and they really were. We had Serge Aurier, Tanguy Ndombele, Moussa Sissoko and Giovani Lo Celso.

“Lo Celso travelled; he was on the coach. What I was told by the club was that Aurier was ill, and Lo Celso, Sissoko and Ndombele had little knocks that they couldn’t shrug off.

“I leave it down to you, it’s one of those. I can only go on what I’m told, and that was what the club confirmed on the day with the official reasons for them not being there.

“I think we will probably see a couple of those quartet gone by the start of next season. That’s my gut feeling.”

TIF Thoughts on their futures…

Ndombele’s time at Tottenham has certainly been a rollercoaster. He has had huge lows in being singled out by Jose Mourinho and the highs of then proving himself this season with a consistent run in the starting XI – it will be interesting to see the next manager’s plans for him.

Sissoko’s Tottenham career has been incredibly underwhelming, on the whole, however, we think Spurs will struggle to find another club willing to offer Sissoko the same wages as he earns at the north London side.

Aurier’s future with Spurs has been under question for a while now and it seems it could be more than a coincidence that these three, known for their close bond, were left out of the squad for Sunday’s game.
