Graham Roberts has told This Is Futbol he has begun to doubt the prospect of Harry Kane staying at Tottenham Hotspur this summer, following reports from Sky Sports this week that he is keen to leave.

The England international has been in exceptional form for the club this season and scored again last weekend.

Kane netted his 32nd goal of the campaign in the 2-0 win over Wolves to keep alive the club’s hopes of qualifying for Europe in the final few games of the season, but those suffered a blow ahead of the final-day trip to Leicester City following a home loss by Aston Villa.

Do you think Kane will be a Spurs player next season?

Kane has also laid on 16 assists in all competitions, but there are doubts over whether he will be in north London next season.

The Athletic has reported that the striker is keen on a move away for a new challenge, as he is desperate to win trophies, but it remains to be seen if any club could afford to pay what Tottenham would ask for their star man.

Nevertheless, Manchester City have been linked with a swoop, and Roberts believes that Spurs could well see their prized asset depart.

Indeed, the club are currently sixth in the Premier League table, five points off the top four with just two games of the season remaining, and they need to win their final two games of the season – against Aston Villa and Leicester City – if they are to guarantee their place in the Europa League next term.

Roberts had been confident of Kane staying previously, but when questioned again about his future by TIF, he said: “I’m having doubts now though, I’m having doubts.”
