In an exclusive interview with This Is Futbol, former Wigan Athletic manager, Paul Jewell, has admitted that he would like to see Graham Potter given the chance as Tottenham Hotspur’s next manager.

Potter has received high praise from people since he became Brighton’s manager in 2019, with even Pep Guardiola claiming he was impressed by what Potter had done at Brighton.

Is Graham Potter good enough for Spurs?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

There have been reports claiming that Spurs’ chief scout, Steve Hitchen, is going to recommend Potter to Daniel Levy as his number one choice for the vacant managerial position.

Speaking on why he would like to see Graham Potter, who Pep Guardiola once labelled “innovative”, at Tottenham Hotspur and what impresses him about Potter, Jewell exclusively told This is Futbol:

I’ve been very impressed with Graham Potter in the way he conducts himself on the touchline, he doesn’t seem to get too excited and his teams play great football.

“Why doesn’t Graham Potter deserve the Tottenham job? We don’t know if people can do a good job until they’re given a fair opportunity and as long as it is fair, then I’m all for it.”

Spurs have had quite a few odd players over the years, but can you remember them? Here is the first one, who is this former Tottenham man?

In recent days there have been reports suggesting that the Tottenham squad would be happy with Potter as their next manager after being impressed with how he sets Brighton up whenever they have played them.

Spurs will be waiting until the summer to appoint their new manager so they can start fresh and not have any potential hangover from this season.
