In an exclusive interview with This is Futbol, Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has claimed that Mauricio Pochettino would consider coming back to Spurs, but only if he was guaranteed money to spend by Daniel Levy.

Pochettino was sacked in 2019 by Spurs despite having guided the club to their first-ever Champions League final just a few months earlier, and he was subsequently replaced by the now sacked Jose Mourinho.

Will Pochettino return to Spurs?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

The Argentine has had an indifferent start to life as PSG manager as they find themselves one point behind Lille in Ligue 1, and his side were dumped out of the Champions League by Manchester City in the last week.

Speaking on what could convince Pochettino to come back to Tottenham and how he wouldn’t need a lot of money, Roberts exclusively told This is Futbol:

Well, he’s said he has unfinished business so I think he would need Levy to say ‘yes, we will give you money to spend’. Even if it’s just £50 million a year because you can buy one player a year with that money and make your team better.

I think there would be a few unhappy players if he came back because they know that he will want them out, but that’s what a good manager does.”

Which player scored Spurs' first goal of the Premier League campaign?

Spurs have suffered a rather unsuccessful season as they were knocked out of the Europa League by Dinamo Zagreb, lost in the Carabao Cup final and appear to be out of the race for the top four.

Mourinho was only sacked last month but he has already found himself a new job as he will become AS Roma’s new manager at the end of the season.
