Speaking exclusively to This is Futbol, former Tottenham captain Graham Roberts has advised David Moyes to remain at West Ham amid speculation with a shock move across London to Spurs.

Tottenham have been linked with a crazy number of potential managers following the departure of Jose Mourinho last month.

Do you think West Ham should sign Ivan Toney this summer?

And a report from the Daily Mirror said that the Hammers boss would be a ‘perfect fit’ to replace Mourinho.

Moyes was only appointed West Ham boss for a second time 18 months ago but has continued his impressive work post-lockdown when he kept them in the Premier League by mounting a top four challenge.

However, three defeats in four league matches mean that West Ham are likely to qualify for the Europa League at best, although fourth-placed Leicester face Manchester United, Chelsea and Spurs in their final three fixtures, meaning their race is not run yet.

Nice easy one to start off with. How much do you think Declan Rice is worth?

Regardless of how the Hammers fare in their final three games, it’s been a memorable season for Moyes, who’s likely to get the club back into Europe barring a disaster.

And therefore, Roberts believes that should Spurs come knocking, staying at the London Stadium would be the Scot’s best option.

He told This is Futbol:

“Spurs will be looking at everybody. The problem you’ve got is that he didn’t do it at Man United. Man United are a big, big club.

“Would he want to come to Tottenham? Tottenham want a younger manager, that’s what they’re looking for. But saying that, he’s done absolutely unbelievable where he is. If I was David Moyes, I would stay where I am.”
