Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been reacting on Twitter after a report emerged revealing Graham Potter has made it onto Steve Hitchen’s list of recommendations for Jose Mourinho’s successor.

Spurs are still searching for the enigmatic Portuguese manager’s replacement after Daniel Levy sacked the 58-year-old following a disappointing 17-month spell in charge of the north London outfit.

Big names such as Julian Nagelsmann and Erik ten Hag have recently been ruled out of the running for the vacancy at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, leaving the door open to other candidates.

According to the Daily Mail, current Brighton and Hove Albion boss Potter is admired by the Tottenham technical performance director, and Hitchen’s list is the one that makes it to the club’s hierarchy, however, it seems as though the club’s supporters arent as keen.

“Hitchen should be on the boards shortlist to sack. (poor recruitment since Paul Mitchell left) I would never on my life let Hitchen have a say in any decision makings. The same goes for Lewis/Enic/Levy, gotta go. So much mess with coaches/players & run out of excuses.”

“I wouldn’t let Hitchen recommend me a book to read, let alone which manager we should go for. Another one that needs to go.”

@danrogers77

“Hitchen should have been sacked long ago, he’s the reason our recruitment is so bad.”

@pharvey22

“This is how far we have fallen.”

@Thewinnermex

“Finished club”

@justinleong13

“Get hitchen out of the club immediately”

@simplyjambo

“Recommended by Hitchen? His recruitment history is hardly good is it! More likely the cheapest option.”

@oldjdub

“Hitching not fit for purpose”

@macspur121

Potter is clearly seen as a below-par candidate after being involved in a season-long relation battle with the Seagulls this season.
