Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest claim surrounding the North London club’s ongoing search for a new permanent manager.

This comes after Spurs news Twitter account @Daily_Hotspur shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in an article from The Independent.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

The article claims that some figures at the club are now seriously suggesting that it could be worth returning to former Lilywhites manager Mauricio Pochettino to take the reins at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium again, despite only joining French club Paris Saint Germain in January.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Spurs fans who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest claim:

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to this latest claim about Pochettino?

“Bring him home!”

@TaxableBridge

“Yes please”

@carr1818

“This would be bigger than a Bale return”

@Jjhuiijhui

“Kane will stay if this happens. for at least one more season.”

@davidja90098097

“I know he had lost his mojo but this would keep Harry and we could go again. Please Poch come home”

@jackcolegolf

“Don’t get my hopes up”

@raffaad23

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems that these Spurs fans would be delighted to see their club bring Pochettino back to the club to be their new permanent manager for next season.

Would you take Pochettino back at Spurs this summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Given how the Argentine managed to get Spurs to a Champions League final in the 2018/19 season and a second-place finish in the 2016/17 Premier League season, it’s understandable why these Tottenham fans would want to see Pochettino return and have another go at winning some silverware with the club.

In our view, given the short spell he’s had with PSG, it seems unlikely that Pochettino would leave Paris before he has had at least a full season under his belt there.
