Newcastle's all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Alan Shearer but how many goals did he score for the club?

The 21-year-old spent the second half of the season on loan at Newcastle and scored eight goals, including seven in his last seven matches.

Newcastle are set to make a move for Willock, and it has been reported that a bid of £20m would get Arsenal interested.

However, Kennedy believes that it will take more for the Toon to sign him.

He said: “I’ll be brutally honest with you, I think he’s valued at around £30m.

“So I think this talk of £20m is way off the mark anyway, and it may not take any money, it may take another loan fee to take Joe Willock next season, there’s another possibility that could easily happen.

“Arsenal could kick the can down the road for another 12 months and decide then.

“I think there’s a lot of things at play here, and a lot of things could happen in the next few months.”

Do you think Willock will cost £30m?

TIF Thoughts on Willock to Newcastle…

After scoring those eight goals for the Toon, it wouldn’t surprise us if the Gunners are looking for around £30m; however, the 21-year-old will face a lot of competition in that Arsenal midfield, and it is unclear if they will use him next season.

If they decide that he isn’t for them, then surely a bid of £20m could be enough to convince the Gunners to part ways with an academy graduate?

We will have to see what happens, but we believe that if the Toon can put together a reasonable deal for Willock, then they stand a chance of signing him permanently.
