Newcastle United fans have been reacting to news surrounding Steve Bruce.
It’s fair to say that Bruce is something of an unpopular figure up on Tyneside, with fans going to really extreme lengths to voice their displeasure over results in recent months that at one point left Newcastle United staring down the barrel at potentially being relegated from the Premier League.
However, an unbeaten run in the month of April, combined with some poor performances by 18th placed Fulham has certainly put them in a much better place as we approach the final four games of the season.
And the team’s results clearly haven’t gone unnoticed as Bruce finds himself nominated for the Premier League manager of the Month award alongside Sam Allardyce, Marcelo Bielsa and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
News that certainly appears to have come as a shock to the Newcastle United fans online when they discovered the news:
“I know it’s for April, but you can’t have April fools in May!!! Yes, we got some results, but manager of the month is a joke. Please tell me it’s a wind-up”

This could be viewed as a slightly odd reaction considering what he’s done for the club this month in edging closer to the club’s Premier League survival.
